Glucosamine and chondroitin are substances produced naturally in the body. Glucosamine is synthesized from glucose and the amino acid glutamine and is a direct precursor in the formation of glycosaminoglycans. These multiple sugars, which also include chondroitin and hyaluronic acid, have a high water-binding capacity and thus give tissue elasticity, moisture and stability.
Glucosamine and Chondroitin Complex is supplemented with the important organic sulphur compound MSM, the amino acid L-lysine, and the vitamins C, D3 and B12. Vitamin C contributes to collagen formation, which is important for normal cartilage and bone function. Vitamin D3 also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
