Sleep Complex: Relax naturally and sleep better
Our new product Sleep Complex combines ten carefully selected ingredients designed to support the natural sleep–wake rhythm and help make falling asleep easier.
Why good sleep is so important
Restful sleep is a key foundation for both physical and mental well-being. During the night, the body regenerates: cells renew themselves, the immune system is strengthened, and the nervous system processes the experiences of the day. If this process is disrupted, fatigue, concentration problems, and reduced resilience soon become noticeable.
In the long term, chronic sleep deprivation also increases the risk of numerous health problems, including cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, and a weakened immune response.
Sleep problems are widespread
Many people today struggle with sleep disturbances. According to a 2023 Statista survey, around 43 percent of respondents in Germany reported having suffered from sleep problems within the previous twelve months (1). These include difficulties falling or staying asleep as well as pronounced insomnia.
What causes sleep disturbances?
The reasons for poor sleep are varied and differ from person to person.
Common causes include:
- psychological stress and inner tension
- lack of certain micronutrients
- irregular daily routines or shift work
- blue light exposure from screens in the evening
- an unfavourable sleep environment (too bright, too warm, or too noisy)
- caffeine consumption in the afternoon or evening
- chronic pain
- hormonal changes
In today’s fast-paced world, psychological stress plays a particularly important role in the development of sleep problems. Too many obligations, constant availability, and an overactive mind make it difficult for many people to switch off and fall into a restful sleep. Added to this are chronic micronutrient deficiencies and other contributing factors.
Sleep Complex was developed precisely for this purpose: to provide targeted support for busy people in stressful times. This is achieved through a unique combination of micronutrients, plant extracts, and the body’s own messenger substance melatonin.
Sleep Complex: A unique supplement for better sleep
Sleep Complex combines ten carefully chosen ingredients in one convenient capsule:
- 36 mg magnesium
- 20 mg theanine
- 50 mg niacinamide
- 15 mg 5-HTP
- 60 mg tryptophan
- 50 mg GABA
- 50 mg sour cherry extract
- 40 mg chamomile flowers
- 5 mg vitamin B6
- 1 mg melatonin
The formulation is designed so that the individual components complement each other and support various aspects of healthy sleep. Instead of having to combine several individual supplements, Sleep Complex offers a practical all-in-one concept containing all key nutrients in balanced amounts.
How Sleep Complex works
The following explains how the different ingredients in Sleep Complex can support healthy sleep and a balanced circadian rhythm.
Melatonin – the “sleep hormone”
Melatonin is synthesized from the “happiness hormone” serotonin and released by the pineal gland as darkness sets in. It plays a central role in the body’s day–night rhythm, signalling that it is time to sleep. This promotes tiredness and helps shorten the time needed to fall asleep. In addition, melatonin acts as an important antioxidant in the central nervous system.
L-tryptophan and 5-HTP – building serotonin and melatonin
L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that must be obtained from food. In the body, it is converted – mainly in the gut and brain – into 5-HTP, the direct precursor of serotonin. Serotonin, in turn, is converted into melatonin.
Serotonin fulfills numerous functions in the body, particularly in relation to mood, emotional balance, and mental well-being. A stable serotonin level therefore contributes significantly to relaxation and inner calm – key prerequisites for restorative sleep.
By combining L-tryptophan, 5-HTP, and melatonin in one product, Sleep Complex supports the biochemistry of the sleep–wake cycle on several levels. Further details on 5-HTP and its role in serotonin synthesis can be found in our dedicated article, where we also explain in which cases a higher-dosage intake may be beneficial.
Magnesium – mineral for nerves and muscles
Magnesium contributes to the healthy function of the nervous system and psychological well-being. It also supports muscle relaxation – an important factor in the body’s ability to unwind before sleep.
Sleep Complex contains magnesium bisglycinate, a form of magnesium that is particularly well absorbed and well tolerated.
L-theanine – gentle support from green tea
L-theanine is a natural amino acid found almost exclusively in tea leaves and largely responsible for the characteristic taste of green tea. It is traditionally associated with calmness and relaxation.
GABA – an important neurotransmitter
Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a natural messenger substance in the nervous system that transmits inhibitory signals and helps promote inner calm and balance.
Sour cherry extract – rich in plant compounds
The Montmorency sour cherry is naturally rich in secondary plant compounds such as anthocyanins and polyphenols. These bioactive substances give the fruit its deep red colour and have long been valued in natural nutrition.
Chamomile flowers – traditional calming herb
Chamomile is one of Europe’s best-known medicinal plants. It has traditionally been used to promote relaxation and tranquillity. Its flowers contain flavonoids such as apigenin, which contribute to the broad spectrum of beneficial plant compounds.
Vitamins B6 and B3 – support for nerves and mental balance
Vitamins B6 and B3 both contribute to the healthy function of the nervous system and a balanced state of mind. They thus play a valuable role in maintaining inner balance and relaxation – important factors for restful sleep.
Who can benefit most from Sleep Complex?
Sleep Complex is suitable for anyone looking to support their sleep naturally. Those who may benefit most include:

Possible side effects and interactions
The ingredients are present in doses commonly used in dietary supplements and are considered well tolerated by healthy adults. No side effects or interactions are known.
As a general guideline, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before using any supplement - especially if you are taking medications or other supplements.

Consider the following tips:
- Optimize your sleep environment: keep the room dark, quiet, and well ventilated; turn off Wi-Fi at night.
- Use aids if needed: eye mask and earplugs can help block light and noise.
- Reduce screen time: avoid phones, tablets, and laptops two hours before bed, or use blue-light blocking glasses.
- Establish a relaxing evening routine: e.g. read, take a walk, listen to calming music, or meditate.
- Eat lightly: finish your evening meal at least three hours before bedtime.
- Avoid stimulation in the evening: no intense workouts or cold showers shortly before bed.
