Liquorice root (Rx. Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Also known as yellow licorice. Belongs to the legume family. The active substances include triterpenoid saponins (glycyrrhizin) and flavonoids, which have antioxidative and immune-boosting properties. Liquorice helps unblock the airways in the event of a cold.
