Gamma linolenic acid

GLA for short. Triple unsaturated essential fatty acid that belongs to the group of omega-6 fatty acids. Obtained through diet and can be synthesised from linoleic acid in the body. Replacing saturated fats with mono and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet helps maintain normal cholesterol levels in the blood.
